The Trust
The Dementia Services Development Trust

The Dementia Services Development Trust exists to extend and improve services for people with dementia and their carers. It funds projects undertaken by the Dementia Services Development Centre, which is part of the University of Stirling. The centre develops new areas of practice and then documents them as a way of making the expertise widely available. It also offers information, training, conferences, consultancy and seminars, all of which provide opportunities to disseminate the latest thinking in dementia care. The Centre is generally regarded as being the most important of its kind in the UK and over the last ten years has played a vital role in improving the standards of care provided to people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
